How to Use the PDF-Image Converter

This tool is handy when you need to extract just a specific page from a scanned contract or application PDF to send over messenger, or when you need to combine several photos or scans in order into a single PDF for submitting documents. Everything is processed right in your browser with no software to install, and even if you upload multiple files at once, they're automatically converted in order.

For PDF → Image conversion, you can choose a resolution (1x, 2x, 3x): pick a high-quality option if you need a sharp image for printing, or the standard option if you want a smaller file for sharing on screen. For Image → PDF conversion, you can choose between A4-sized pages or pages sized to match your original images, and you can also set whether to include margins.

  • Extract just the pages you need from a contract or official document PDF as images
  • Combine multiple scanned photos or receipts in order into a single PDF for submission
  • Extract images from multiple PDFs at once and organize them into a ZIP file
  • Create preview images from presentation slides or assignment PDFs
  • Bundle photos taken on your phone into a PDF to send by email instead of fax

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Is my PDF file uploaded to a server?

A. No. PDF rendering, image conversion, and PDF creation are all processed entirely within your browser. Since files are never sent to or stored on a server, you can safely use this tool even for sensitive documents like contracts or personal records.

Q. Can I convert a password-protected PDF?

A. Password-protected PDFs are not currently supported. Please remove the password before uploading your PDF file.

Q. Can I change the order when creating a PDF from images?

A. PDF pages are created in the order you select (or drag and drop) the images. If you want to change the order, click "Clear All" to reset, then select the files again in your desired order.

Q. If I convert a multi-page PDF to images, how many files will I get?

A. You'll get one image for each page of the PDF. For example, a 5-page PDF will produce 5 images, which you can download individually or all at once using "Download All as ZIP."

Q. What's the difference between the resolution options (1x, 2x, 3x)?

A. The higher the number, the sharper and higher-resolution the image, but the file size also increases. Standard (1x) or High Quality (2x) is enough if you're only viewing on screen; Ultra HD (3x) is recommended for printing.
